Getting started, and getting unstuck

Short answers to the things people actually hit. Everything here describes what the app does today.

Signing in

Guardian Daily needs a sign-in so your priorities, memories and preferences stay yours alone. You can use an email address and password, or continue with Google. Start at the sign-in page.

If you forget your password

Choose "Email me a reset link" on the sign-in page and we will email you a reset link. The link opens a screen where you set a new password; it does not sign you in anywhere else first. If the link has expired or has already been used, the page says so and offers to send another.

Honest limitation: nobody has yet confirmed that a reset email actually arrives, because the app is not yet sending from its own verified address. If one does not turn up, that is the likely reason — write to us and we will sort it out by hand.

Your first five minutes

Once signed in, Settings → Your first five minutes walks through personalising Guardian, adding one real task, finishing it, and checking your data survives a reload. Nothing on that checklist is ticked for you.

The Meet Your Guardian tour

A short interactive tour introduces what Guardian can do, in about a minute. It appears once for new members and never forces itself again. You can reopen it any time.

Sharing a plan with family

In Family → Our home plans, the owner of a plan can share it with approved family members as view-only or with edit access, and can revoke it later. Only the owner can share, re-share or delete. Revoking stops future access; it cannot undo what someone has already read or downloaded.

Exporting or deleting everything

Settings → Your data downloads a copy of your own Guardian data and can erase it. The export contains your data only — no other person's information, and no passwords or keys.

Stopping Guardian

Settings → Privacy has an emergency stop that halts every Guardian answer and blocks every action until you release it yourself. Guardian cannot release it.

Billing and subscription help

Admitted members receive access to all currently available beta features during the first limited beta through November 5, 2026. Guardian Daily membership is $9.97/month (tax may apply; cancel anytime). Current beta members keep free access through November 5, 2026. Paid sign-up is not open yet. If you have a legitimate earlier paid membership, the existing cancellation and restore paths remain available; the full wording is on Cancellation and refunds. If you have such a membership, Settings → Manage subscription opens the payment provider's own page for changing or canceling.

Email support@guardiandaily.ai or use the contact page for billing, cancellations and refunds.

Support Guardian Enterprise

Guardian Enterprise's Cash App is $GuardianEnterprise. This is only a way to reach us on Cash App. Sending money here does not buy or open a membership. Current beta members are free through November 5, 2026. Membership is $9.97/month after that.

Account access and password help

If a reset email does not arrive, check the spam folder first, then write to us and we will sort it out by hand. For your safety the reset screen never says whether an address has an account attached to it.

Email support@guardiandaily.ai or use the contact page for getting back into your account.

Family and text alerts help

Family messages, call-backs and check-ins always appear inside Guardian. Text alerts to a phone are a separate thing: they only go out once a text service is connected, and each person chooses whether to save a phone number. More → What reaches you shows the honest state at any moment. Guardian never places a call itself — it opens your own phone.

Email support@guardiandaily.ai or use the contact page for family and text alerts.

Something is broken

Settings → Your first five minutes has a feedback control. It saves your note on this device only and shows you exactly what is saved; nothing is transmitted from there. To actually reach a person, use the address above.

What Guardian actually is

Guardian helps carry the remembering, organizing, monitoring and follow-through so you can spend more time on what matters. It suggests and prepares; you decide. It is a tool, not a replacement for your own judgement, and never a professional adviser on legal, medical or financial matters.

What Guardian remembers

Guardian only remembers what you put in or agree to save, and Settings → Memory shows every item with a way to delete it. It does not read your email, files or calendar, and it does not learn from your family's information.

Permissions, and what needs your approval

Anything with a real consequence is prepared and then waits for you on the Requests screen. Guardian never sends, books, pays or shares on its own. Location sharing is opt-in, asked for each time, and can be refused without losing anything else.

How Time saved is worked out

Everyone starts at zero. When Guardian helps with something you can record a receipt: the burden, what Guardian did, what you decided, what actually happened, and a rough time saved. A rough figure stays an estimate and is never counted. It only becomes verified when you confirm or adjust the minutes yourself. Receipts where Guardian did not help stay in the list exactly like the ones where it did. The ledger is kept on your own device under your account.

Cancelling

There is nothing to cancel for first-beta access because no card or charge is required. If you have a legitimate earlier paid membership, cancelling stops future renewals and the period you already paid for runs to its end.

What Guardian cannot do

It cannot send email for you, make phone calls, book anything or read your calendar. It can look things up on the web and shows clickable sources so you can check the original. It is not an emergency service — in an emergency, call your local emergency number. It can be wrong, and it will sometimes miss things; that is why nothing consequential happens without you.
