What Guardian's AI can and cannot do

Read this before you rely on anything Guardian says.

It can be wrong

Guardian's answers are generated. They can be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong, and they can sound confident while being wrong. Check anything that matters before you act on it.

Your judgement is final

Guardian suggests and prepares. Anything with a real consequence is put on the Requests screen and waits there until you approve it. Approving something is not the same as it having worked — the outcome is recorded separately, by you.

It is not an emergency service

Guardian does not contact emergency services, and no configured emergency service exists. In an emergency, call your local emergency number. Check-ins and alerts go only to the people in your own Family Circle who have been approved.

Location is opt-in

Guardian never takes your location in the background. Sharing it is asked for at the moment you choose to share, it is confirmed before anything is sent, and refusing costs you nothing else.

It is not a professional adviser

Nothing Guardian says is legal, medical, financial or tax advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional who knows your situation.

What is not connected

Guardian cannot send email, place calls itself, make bookings, browse the web or read your calendar. Where a feature depends on something that is not wired up yet, the screen says so rather than pretending it worked.
